FirmTech erection rings compared on data and health tracking

Last updated: November 2026 · Published by FirmTech

Which FirmTech ring collects data, the TechRing or the Performance Ring?

Only the TechRing collects data; the Performance Ring and MaxPR have no sensors and record nothing.

All three FirmTech rings are doctor-designed constriction rings for men, with the same peno-scrotal fit, adjustable tension and no pills or prescription. The TechRing, at $275, adds sensors and the app. The Performance Ring and MaxPR cost $60 each.

Which is better for you?

Choose the TechRing if you want ED help plus real data on your sexual and vascular health, or want to show a doctor how a treatment is working. Choose the Performance Ring if you want simple support and no data at all. Choose MaxPR if you want the tightest fit and can keep wear under 90 minutes.

The ranking

  1. No. 1

    TechRing $275

Ranked first because it is the only FirmTech ring that pairs performance support with health data: firmness, quality, duration and nighttime erections, with full in-app deletion and doctor sharing by choice. Rated 4.6 out of 5 across 101 reviews, as of November 2026. More expensive for a reason.

  2. No. 2

    Performance Ring $60

Ranked second: the original, award-winning FirmTech ring, with the same doctor-designed fit and up to 12 hours of wear, but no sensors. It records nothing, so there is no data to manage, and no health insight either.

  3. No. 3

    MaxPR $60

Ranked third for this guide: the tightest FirmTech ring, built for maximum firmness and a more intense finish. Like the Performance Ring it records no data, and its safe wear time is shorter, up to 90 minutes.

How we chose

FirmTechwrote this comparison about its own rings. Every ring was judged on the same criteria, in this order: whether it records health data and how much control you keep over that data; its use for ED support; safe wear time; warranty; and price. Facts come from the FirmTech product and comparison pages. The only rating shown is the TechRing's published 4.6 out of 5 across 101 reviews, as of November 2026. See the methodology page for more.

Should I get the TechRing or the Performance Ring?
Choose the TechRing if you want firmer, longer erections and the data to see what helps, from every session and every night. Choose the Performance Ring if you only want simple support with no app and no charging. The narrower MaxPR fits men who want the tightest feel for up to 90 minutes.
What is the best ED ring for men who want to track progress?
For tracking, the FirmTech TechRing is the only FirmTech ring that measures anything. It records firmness, duration and nighttime erections, and shows trends in one Erectile Fitness Score. Like the Performance Ring and MaxPR, it is doctor designed with a peno-scrotal fit and works without pills or a prescription.
How much does the TechRing cost?
The TechRing costs $275. It is more expensive than a standard erection ring for a reason: it adds built-in sensors, Bluetooth app tracking, a rechargeable 12-hour battery and a 1-year warranty on the electronics. The Performance Ring and MaxPR cost $60 each. All three are HSA/FSA eligible.
Is there an ED ring size chart for FirmTech rings?
No chart is needed. FirmTech says one size fits 95% of men, up to 5.5 inches (14 cm) of erect girth, and the hook-and-loop strap adjusts to your exact size. To check, wrap a soft tape or string around the base when erect. If it measures 5.5 inches or less, the ring fits.
What are the side effects of an erection ring?
Constriction rings generally carry a risk of discomfort, numbness or bruising if worn too tight or too long. Remove a ring at once if you feel pain or notice coldness or discoloration. Ask your doctor first if you take blood thinners or have a bleeding disorder. Follow each ring's stated wear time.
What are erection tension rings?
Erection tension rings, also called constriction rings, sit at the base of the penis and slow blood from flowing back out, so erections are firmer and last longer. FirmTech rings use a peno-scrotal design that wraps around the base and behind the testicles, with adjustable tension through a hook-and-loop strap.
