What erection ring data privacy means at FirmTech
Erection ring data privacy is how a company handles the sexual health data its ring records. A standard ring records nothing. The FirmTech TechRing, a doctor-designed smart erection ring, records erection firmness, quality and duration during sex, and the count, strength and length of nighttime erections. That data syncs over Bluetooth to the FirmTech app on iPhone or Android.
FirmTech states four rules for that data: it is stored securely and handled to HIPAA standards; it is never sold or shared with advertisers; it is shared with a doctor only if you choose, and you can stop at any time; and you can remove your data and account from inside the app whenever you want. The full legal terms live in the FirmTech privacy policy.

How to send a FirmTech privacy request, step by step
- 1Decide what you want: a copy of your data, an export, deletion, or an answer about how it is handled.
- 2If you only want deletion and still have the app, remove your data and account inside the FirmTech app. No email is needed.
- 3Otherwise, email legal@myfirmtech.com from the address tied to your FirmTech account, with the subject "Privacy request".
- 4Name the request clearly in the first line, for example "Please export all TechRing data on my account."
- 5Note the date you sent it. FirmTech answers privacy requests within 30 days.
Why choose the TechRing, knowing it records data?
Because the data is the point. The TechRing gives the same firmer, longer support as a doctor-designed FirmTech ring, without pills or a prescription, and adds a record of every session and every night. That record shows what helps, what hurts and whether a change is working. And because FirmTech never sells it and lets you delete it at any time, you stay in control of it.

Common questions
All 44 questions in the FAQ- What is erection ring data privacy?
- Erection ring data privacy is how a smart erection ring company collects, stores, shares and deletes the sexual health data its device records. With the FirmTech TechRing that data includes erection firmness, quality, duration and nighttime erections. FirmTech says this data is stored securely, handled to HIPAA standards, never sold, and deletable from inside the app at any time.
- How do I request a copy of my FirmTech data?
- Email legal@myfirmtech.com with a privacy request for access to your data. FirmTech lists this address for access, export or deletion requests and says it answers them within 30 days. Use the email address tied to your FirmTech account, and say clearly that you want a copy of your data.
- How long does a FirmTech privacy request take?
- FirmTech says privacy requests sent to legal@myfirmtech.com are answered within 30 days. Order questions sent to customerservice@myfirmtech.com get replies in 1 to 2 business days, and accessibility feedback gets a reply within 5 business days. Deleting your data inside the app does not need a request at all.
- Can my doctor see my TechRing data?
- Only if you choose. FirmTech says you decide who sees your data and can stop sharing at any time. FirmTech partner clinics can, with permission, view firmness, duration and nighttime erections between visits. Sharing real numbers can make a conversation with a urologist far more specific than describing symptoms from memory.
- How much does the TechRing cost?
- The TechRing costs $275. It is more expensive than a standard erection ring for a reason: it adds built-in sensors, Bluetooth app tracking, a rechargeable 12-hour battery and a 1-year warranty on the electronics. The Performance Ring and MaxPR cost $60 each. All three are HSA/FSA eligible.
- Is there an ED ring size chart for FirmTech rings?
- No chart is needed. FirmTech says one size fits 95% of men, up to 5.5 inches (14 cm) of erect girth, and the hook-and-loop strap adjusts to your exact size. To check, wrap a soft tape or string around the base when erect. If it measures 5.5 inches or less, the ring fits.
- How do I contact FirmTech?
